In recent times, news reports have increasingly shown women not only as victims but also as individuals involved in criminal activities. This shift has raised an important question in society: why are more women appearing in crime stories today?

To understand this growing concern, I spoke with several women from different backgrounds and asked them their views on the issue. Their responses reflect different perspectives, experiences, and observations about the changing realities faced by women today.

Below are their opinions, presented in their own words.

I feel so bad that the crime happening nowadays because I feel most of the women are suppressed in our society The society in which we are living here is a male dominating society. We say that we are living in a modern world but then too a girl is always asked to get up early, to look after her house, to look after her children,to look after in laws, to look after the rituals of the house. Each and everything has to be performed by a girl. In which the support of the husband I think is very lessor if it is there, in the terms of husband then in that case, some of the other way they get irritated, they feel so that it's a burden for them and they don't enjoy it. In our society when a women get so much suppressed,I feel so that the evolving crime which is coming out is just due to the suppression They feel suppressed. If it is domestic violence they get beaten from their husband regularly, husband get drunk so out of frustration, out of irritation, out of aggression they do that.

In this thing I want to tell everyone that first also the crimes were done but they were not highlighted like now through social media and all......we shouldn't forget that now we are seeing one or two generation down they have low patience, high aggression.....to fulfill their dreams by hook or by crook.....choosing easy ways to get things rather thinking calmly

Due to frustration and big dreams and choosing shortcut for fulfilling their big dreams in some cases .
Is badalte daur me ek female ka humble and soft behavior kahi khoya sa dikhta hai .

While big dream is not a problem. Trying to fulfill it with short cuts for a guy or a girl by involving in crime is bad.
And obviously frustration and overburden of family and society. If they will not get frustrated and have someone who can understand them and even if they have their ME time .Or they can chill as per their choice which is again not possible due to society pressure .friends and dear ones can advise not to choose crime as an option but they don't even have time and people to discuss with .so the level is very high.

Most importantly women involving in crime due to Frustration, which is inside not just for one days but from years, lack of freedom and equality, abuse, physical torture 😞 and using like playing objects which gives birth to crime in day to day life every single minute women faces discrimination and hence in modern society it's coming in the form of crime...
Sometimes crimes are done in casualty but the one who seriously faces thing beyond their circumstances and nothing left it gives birth to crime...

In my opinion, the increase in crimes involving women may be due to several reasons. Nowadays women also face a lot of social pressure, financial stress, and sometimes negative influence from surroundings. As women are becoming more independent and active in every field, they are also exposed to both good and bad aspects of society. Lack of proper guidance, emotional stress, or difficult life situations can sometimes push people in the wrong direction. However, it’s important to remember that crime is not related to gender — it depends on individual choices and circumstances.

What we see as crimes is the women fighting back..men have used physical mental voilence n now women are standing up for themselves.
We are getting empowered by like minded women who refuse to adjust.

One of the reasons for the increasing crime rate among women may be the growing stress and pressure they face in different areas of life. Today, women are expected to contribute financially to the family while also fulfilling all traditional household responsibilities. If they choose to work outside the home, they are sometimes labelled as over-ambitious and their character may even be questioned. On the other hand, if they stay at home, their role and identity are often undervalued.

Working women frequently face pressure both at home and at the workplace. At home, they are still expected to manage all domestic responsibilities, and at work they may face bias, lack of trust in their capabilities, unequal pay, or fewer opportunities for promotion. At times, women who do succeed professionally may also face unfair doubts about their character. In addition, many women encounter unwanted behaviour or advances from men in professional spaces.

Another major challenge is the lack of emotional support. Women are often expected to understand and support everyone around them, spouses, parents, and in-laws but their own struggles and emotions are not always acknowledged. This constant pressure can lead to significant mental and emotional stress.

Social media today, and earlier television serials and films, also create unrealistic expectations about how women should behave or live their lives. Women are often told what is “right” for them rather than being encouraged to pursue what they truly want. This gap between who they are and who they are expected to be can create inner conflict and stress.

In some cases, this accumulated stress and frustration may lead to actions that could be considered criminal. At the same time, it is also important to note that women are often blamed or judged harshly regardless of the situation.

Overall, women have long been expected to carry many responsibilities, and today the number of expectations has only increased. Despite contributing in multiple roles, at home, at work, and in society, they often receive very little emotional support, which adds to the pressure they experience.

In my view, there is no single reason for women getting involved in crimes. Several factors contribute to such incidents.

These include:- easy internet
Access- early puberty-
Depression-
Peer pressure-
Impatience-
Taking shortcuts to success-
Comparison-
Market competition-
Pressure to maintain social status-
Fast fashion trends-
Etc., etc.

We all want to be bold but developing criminal intents is scary for future generations as most of the things we learn from our mothers throughout our lifetime. Lack of empathy and tolerance will create an irresponsible mother.

Welcome again everyone..I am really happy and appreciate the efforts you all made to brainstorm this issue..We are now 14 but tomorrow might be 140 or more .. We will make the first move to realise our weaknesses and be the part of this change from our ownselves.. People joke that a wife or a husband once in a lifetime have this feeling to kill their spouse.. I don't know how much true this is..But yes honestly speaking you never know when anger gets uncontrolled..So let's see how can we find atleast one of our weakness and try to control it..

I want to see happiness and peace everywhere around me.. Love is the biggest power.. & Let's become each other's support.
